These terms apply to your purchase of tickets to, and your attendance at, the Central Districts Field Days (the “Event”), organised by Stuff Limited (“Stuff”, “we”, “us” or “our”). In these terms “you” and “your” mean the person buying the ticket and, where the context requires, each person attending the Event (an “Attendee”).
By buying a ticket or attending the Event, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully and keep a copy.
Tickets are subject to availability and are sold on a first-come, first-served basis at the gate and through the Event website. Tickets purchased through any other channel may not be valid for entry.
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on the Event website at the time you buy your ticket applies to that purchase. We will publish any material changes on the Event website.
We may change or modify any part of the Event, including the date or location, at any time. We will publish details of significant changes via the Event website, e-newsletters and other reasonable means.
The Event involves heavy machinery, vehicles and equipment demonstrations, and physical competitions, operating in a busy outdoor environment. Please consider the following before you buy a ticket and before you attend.
You confirm that you are not aware of any illness, injury, disability or other condition that attending the Event could make worse, or that could put you or others at risk.
The Event involves risks that you should be aware of. These include, but are not limited to:
We take the health and safety of everyone at the Event seriously and will take reasonable steps to manage risks. You agree to follow all reasonable health and safety rules, instructions and signage given by Stuff, its staff, volunteers and exhibitors, and to attend a health and safety briefing if we ask you to. You must take reasonable care for your own safety and that of others.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any liability or obligation that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including our duties under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, or your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986.
Because the Event involves services supplied to you, where you acquire a ticket as a consumer the guarantees in the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 apply and are not excluded.
Subject to this clause and to the maximum extent the law allows, Stuff is not liable for loss or damage arising from your attendance at the Event, other than loss or damage caused by our negligence or wilful default. Any conditions and warranties implied by law are excluded only to the extent the law permits them to be excluded.
You decide whether to attend, and you are responsible for your own choices and conduct during the Event. To the maximum extent the law allows, you are responsible for any loss or damage you cause to property or another person during the Event, including as a result of your breach of these terms or your failure to follow reasonable instructions from our staff, volunteers or exhibitors.
You must be respectful and follow all reasonable instructions given by our staff, volunteers, exhibitors and event officials, and observe normal traffic rules and the directions of Police at all times.
Roller skates, roller blades, hand cycles, geared vehicles, skateboards, bicycles, scooters and similar wheeled equipment are not permitted on-site. Other than prams and wheelchairs, any equipment, structure or accessory that is intended to be pushed, towed or carried at the Event must be approved by us in advance — please contact cdfielddays@stuff.co.nz.
Other than guide dogs, service dogs and working dogs involved in official demonstrations, dogs are not permitted at the Event.
Flying drones or other unmanned aerial vehicles is not permitted without our prior written authorisation, which we may give or withhold at our discretion.
Tickets must not, without our prior written consent, be resold or offered for resale at a premium (including via online auction or resale sites), or used for advertising, promotion or other commercial purposes. A ticket sold or used in breach of this condition may be cancelled without refund, and the holder may be refused entry.
As a condition of entry, you and your belongings may need to be searched on entry or exit.
We may refuse entry to, or remove, any Attendee who: behaves inappropriately, offensively or abusively; risks damaging property; needs to be removed on medical or health and safety grounds; or engages in unauthorised marketing, including ambush marketing. We may also reject or cancel your attendance for safety or insurance reasons. We are not obliged to refund the ticket price where we do this because of your conduct or breach of these terms.
If you are injured, become unwell, or have an accident during the Event, you consent to receiving any medical aid or preventative treatment that our medical officials reasonably consider advisable.
In a medical emergency, you consent to your personal information being shared with medical assistance personnel and the Event organisers so they can help you.
Other than as required by law (including the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993), tickets are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged, and transaction fees are non-refundable.
If you consider you should not attend the Event for a medical reason, we may, at our discretion, refund your ticket price (but not any other purchase, such as merchandise, and not the transaction fee) if you apply before 5:00pm (NZT) on [DATE TO BE CONFIRMED – 2027] and provide a current medical certificate supporting your reason. The booking fee will be deducted from any such refund.
If your contact details change after you buy your ticket, please update them as soon as possible so we can reach you.
Entry may be refused if your ticket is damaged or defaced, or was not bought through the Event's official channels.
Promotional codes may only be used by the person they were issued to, within their validity period, and where the conditions of the code are met. Promotional codes have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash. We may modify, suspend or cancel a promotional code at any time. No refund is available where you held a code but did not use it at the time of purchase.
We may cancel the Event, for example because of dangerous conditions (including adverse weather) or a force majeure event (such as war, civil disturbance, natural disaster, epidemic or pandemic). Other than as set out in clause 6 or as the law requires, we do not provide a refund if we cancel the Event, and we may not be able to reschedule it. Where possible, we will decide on and communicate a rescheduled date.
We are not responsible for separate costs you incur (such as travel or accommodation booked separately) as a result of the Event being cancelled or rescheduled, except to the extent the law requires otherwise.
We may take photographs, film and audio at the Event. By attending, you consent to Stuff collecting, publishing and using your name, image, voice or statements, in any media, for promotional, marketing and related purposes, without payment to you.
You confirm that the information you provide when buying your ticket is true and correct.
Your ticket purchase is processed by Flicket Ltd, our ticketing provider, and payments are processed by Stripe; neither Flicket nor Stuff holds your card details.
We collect your personal information to manage the Event and your participation in it. We may share it with related Stuff companies and with our event partners, sponsors and exhibitors, and may use it to tell you about future events, products and services that may interest you. You can ask us not to use your information for marketing at any time.
If restrictions imposed by a public health authority or government require us to collect additional information from Attendees, we will let you know what is required and why at the time.
You may access and correct the personal information we hold about you by emailing our Privacy Officer at privacy@stuff.co.nz. Our handling of your information is governed by Stuff's Privacy Policy.
Your use of the Event ticketing platform is subject to Stuff's standard terms and conditions of use and website terms and conditions.
These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and the New Zealand courts have jurisdiction over any dispute relating to them or to the Event.
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest of these terms continue to apply.
